Industrial Visit to CII Centre for Excellence, Kandivali by CWC Malwani Students

The Community Welfare Centre (CWC) at Malwani, operated under Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Malvani, continues to promote skill development initiatives for women through courses such as tailoring, mehndi design, and other vocational programs. As part of its efforts to provide practical industry exposure, an industrial visit was organized on 16th August 2025 to the CII – Centre for Excellence on Skills, Kandivali. The visit was specifically arranged for students enrolled in the sewing course to help them understand real-world applications of their training. A total of 25 students participated in the visit. During the session, the institute’s administrative team introduced the facility and provided insights into various skill development programs offered at the center. Students were given a detailed demonstration of the complete garment-making process—from fabric cutting to stitching—using advanced machinery. The session also highlighted opportunities for students to transform their skills into sustainable career paths or entrepreneurial ventures in the fashion and tailoring industry. The visit was accompanied by Mr. Ataa ul Haq Qazi, Incharge of CWC Mumbai, and Ms. Saba, Supervisor at CWC Malwani, who guided and supported the students throughout the experience. This initiative reflects the centre’s commitment to enhancing practical knowledge and preparing students for future employment and self-reliance.
