Community Support Helps Collect 60 Blood Units at Vikhroli Camp

Red Angels Blood Donation and Assistance Network successfully organised a blood donation camp at Parksite, Vikhroli, in association with the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO), Vikhroli Parksite Unit, and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Parksite Unit. The camp was organised with the objective of promoting voluntary blood donation and encouraging the values of humanitarian service and social responsibility among members of the community. The initiative received an encouraging response, with more than 70 individuals registering to donate blood. Following the mandatory medical screening and eligibility assessment, 60 eligible donors successfully donated blood. The collected blood will help meet the critical requirements of patients in need of regular blood transfusions, including children living with thalassemia, as well as patients undergoing emergency and long-term medical treatment. The successful conduct of the camp was made possible through the cooperation and support of the medical team, volunteers and more than 10 local organisations. Red Angels expressed its sincere appreciation to all the voluntary blood donors and supporting organisations for contributing to this life-saving initiative. Highlighting the importance of regular voluntary blood donation, the organisers appealed to citizens to come forward and donate blood regularly. They emphasised that every blood donation can help save multiple lives and strengthen the healthcare support system within the community.
