Malwani Rises to the Occasion: 121 Units of Blood Collected Amid Summer Shortage

Red Angels, in association with Youth Movement of Maharashtra, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp on 3rd May 2026 in Malwani, collecting an impressive 121 units of blood. The camp was held during the peak summer season, a period when blood demand in hospitals significantly increases due to various medical requirements. At the same time, blood donation camps become less frequent because of extreme heat and school vacations, often leading to shortages in blood banks across the city. Despite these challenges, the residents of Malwani came forward with remarkable enthusiasm and a strong sense of social responsibility. Their generous participation helped strengthen blood bank reserves during a critical period and demonstrated the community's commitment to saving lives. Red Angels and Youth Movement of Maharashtra expressed gratitude to all donors, volunteers, and supporters whose efforts made the camp a grand success. Their contribution will help provide timely blood support to patients in need across Mumbai.
